BOX & BLAZE BARBADOS

Box & Blaze is a dynamic fitness program created for boxing enthusiasts who want a powerful, full-body workout. Combining the striking techniques of boxing and Muay Thai - using your hands, feet, knees, and elbows - with bodyweight, resistance, and weighted exercises, this class is designed to build endurance, speed, agility, and strength.

Each session delivers a high-calorie burn while improving your overall athletic performance. Classes are divided into three signature formats - Just Blaze, Kicking It, and Mitt Work - crafted by Certified Level 1 & 2 Box ‘N Burn Academy Boxing Fitness Instructor Khru Daniel Gilkes, who brings over 25 years of experience in Muay Thai Boxing and Filipino Martial Arts.

With 55-minute sessions offered daily at various times, Box & Blaze makes it easy to fit skill development and high-intensity training into even the busiest schedule.

Just Blaze
These classes combine high-energy striking with functional exercises. You, the bag, and one piece of equipment (weights, ball, or resistance band) are all you need.

You’ll focus on developing your hand striking skills - punches, hammer fists, and elbows - while getting a full-body burn.

Format:
• HIIT-style setup
• Five 3-minute rounds of striking
• Three 45-second exercise intervals
• 10 minute cool down stretch

Kicking It
Everything you love about Just Blaze - with a little more power. You’ll work with the bag and one piece of equipment while adding kicks and knees to your striking combinations for a full upper- and lower-body workout.

Format:
• HIIT-style setup
• Five 3-minute rounds of striking
• Three 45-second exercise intervals
• 10 minute cool down stretch

Mitt Work
Our partner class designed to sharpen your technique, timing, and coordination.

Partners take turns holding mitts or Thai pads, feeding each other combinations while building defensive skills, striking (hands & feet), footwork, and distance control.

Format:
• 10 minutes of technical work (form and footwork)
• Three 3-minute rounds of striking
• 9-minute AMRAP/EMOM finisher
• 5-10 minute cool down stretch

Requirements for ALL Class
• Boxing gloves
• Hand wraps
• Shoeless environment
• Towel

No experience required. Classes are open to all levels.
